Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DarkBlock (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a decentralised content monetisation platform built on the Sui blockchain. Our registered contact e-mail is web@darkblock.ai.

2. What data we collect

• Wallet address — derived from your Google account via zkLogin. Used to attribute content ownership and purchases.
• Google OAuth profile — name and e-mail provided during sign-in, used only to generate your zkLogin keypair via Mysten Labs Enoki. We do not store your Google credentials.
• Profile data — display name, bio, and avatar URL you voluntarily provide in the profile editor, stored in Upstash Redis.
• View counts — anonymous, per-content view tallies stored in Redis. No personal identifiers are associated.
• Contact form submissions — name, e-mail, and message you submit via our contact form, sent to our team inbox and not stored beyond delivery.

3. On-chain data

Purchases, content objects, and access tickets are stored on the Sui blockchain. Blockchain records are public and permanent by design — we cannot delete or alter them on your behalf. Files you upload are stored on Walrus decentralised storage and are likewise permanent once committed.

4. How we use your data

• To identify you across sessions and attribute your content and earnings.
• To display your public profile and content to other users.
• To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form.
• To maintain aggregate view and purchase statistics.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-party services

• Mysten Labs Enoki — handles zkLogin authentication and transaction sponsorship.
• Upstash Redis — stores off-chain profile data and view counts.
• Walrus — decentralised file storage for uploaded content.
• Vercel — hosts the web application and API routes.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreement.

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies and local-storage entries required for authentication session management (e.g. Enoki session tokens). No advertising or tracking cookies are set. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

7. Data retention

Profile data stored in Redis is retained until you delete your account or request erasure. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry. On-chain data cannot be deleted.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to access, correct, or erase the personal data we hold about you (excluding on-chain data). To exercise any of these rights please contact us at web@darkblock.ai.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on our platform. Continued use of DarkBlock after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
